2. How does Jethro's life change after his father's attack?
Jethro's life changes in many ways one way more than all. Now that his father can no-longer work, Jethro is "The man of the house, at age ten." Meaning that, he must work from early morning till dusk. He wasn't encouraged any longer to take a long break during the day.
#3How does Jethro feel when Jenny takes Shad's letter to read in private? Does he have a right to feel that way?
Jethro feels that even though the letter was to her that he should have read it to. Jethro didint mind the relationship of them and just wanted to see what was going on over ther. Jenny knew that just because the letters were adresed to her that the whole family should get to read them. Jethro had a good reason to feel that way.

He was excited and nerves to read the letter because he didn't know what to expect for the letter. I think he has a right to feel that way because; he cared allot about Shad and he didn't want anything bad to happen. He wanted to read the letter to make sure he was okay.

He has to now become the man. H has to protect his family and complete the duties his father once did.

After his father attack Jethro had to take on all the resposibilities that his father had. He was now the man of the house. Jeth would now have to work a lot. He would farm the crops from day to night and now he couldent take long breakes like befor.

Jethro's life changes because now he has to become the man of the house. He has to do all the farming from daylight till dusk. Jethro can't take breaks like he used to, now he is taking more responsibilities like his father had to.

He felt irritated, but accepted her right to read the letter alone. However when she came back and only read parts of the letter to him and the family then he became mad. He has a right to feel that way considering that all the other letters were for the whole family, so he felt that this one would be too.
