Pa won't let Jenny marry Shad. The reason why Pa won't let Jenny marry Shad, is because he thinks she is to young. That is why Pa won't let Jenny marry Shad.

The teachers would room and board one family and then another through out the district. Yale protested against the lack of privacy. Teachers today would have a hard doing that with all the stuff the have to deal with already.

However southern states, where slaves worked on large plantaions, did not begin freeing slaves. In the North all states had abolished slavery by 1804. Since the southern states did not comply with the movement, the Civil War was begun. The northern states, or the Union won the war and ended slavery for the country. The abolistionists won.
